Movie Fundraiser – Tuesday November 26th
SVTC has organised a movie fundraiser on TUESDAY 26th NOVEMBER to see “Ride Like a Girl”. It has had some pretty good reviews. It is about the first female jockey to win the Melbourne Cup in 2015, overcoming impossible odds.
As this movie has already started, please organise your friends and family early, so they haven’t already seen it.
Your support for this is always appreciated. If everyone does their best to sell a few tickets, we get $8 per seat, which is pretty good. The tickets are $20 and we will have nibbles from 7.30pm. The movie starts at 8.30pm.
Thanks everyone.

Bring yourself or bring your family and find out all there is to love about tennis!
We will be firing up the ball machine and barbeque, plus there’ll be plenty of games and giveaways happening!
Racquets are available to borrow for those without - just bring sunhats and enthusiasm!
Tennis Hot Shots – Information
Tennis Hot Shots is the national starter tennis programme for New Zealand children. Tennis Hot Shots is just for kids. Smaller courts, shorter racquets and softer balls mean that kids can play a proper game of tennis from the moment they step on court.
As Stokes Valley Tennis Club is a registered Hot Shots Community Play and Hot Shots Coaching (through Evolve Tennis Coaching) facility, junior members can go to www.tennishotshots.kiwi and register your Hot Shot to recieve:
– The chance to play on centre court at the ASB Classic and the NZ Champs
– A limited edition Tennis Hot Shots gift (distributed during Summer)
– Access to exclusive competitions and events
– Prize draws and giveaways via monthly newsletters
Free gifts are usually limited so register quickly to avoid missing out!!
Play the video to learn what Tennis Hot Shots is all about !
Senior Interclub Notice
Currently we offer Mens Division 1 and Division 2 teams and hopefully a Division 1 Ladies team, this depends on if Hutt Valley tennis is able to get enough teams to form a grade. The HVT Woman’s doubles league is also an option if enough people want to form a team, as is entering a woman’s Regional 4 team post Christmas as per last season.
Any one that could be a short notice reserve but does not wish to play week to week please drop me a line as well and I will put you on a reserve list.
